We used to have pimkinseeds sunfish and brown catfish in a 75g, black nose dace and tessellated darter's in the 75g tall, crayfish in 10g, and currently we have a 55g empty(usually use it for trout eggs but we couldn't get a new chiller in time because ours broke), a 20g tall going to be used to Betta breeding and the 55g is going to be a Betta grow out tank, unless i come but with something more interesting for the 55g:naughty:( which is hard because my teacher prefers all natives but he does have his exceptions), and a 20g long thats going to have some ghost shrimp in it for a project of ours.I think in total we had 5 pumpkin seeds, 15 or so brown catfish, 5 black nosed dace and 3 tessellated darters and 2 crayfish. O and tons of baby mantis's.The pumpkin seeds and catfish were caught by me and the others were caught with me and my friends and the mantis egg sac was found and it hatched in class.

Sadly we had a very very severe problem with the heat over the weekend and well the tanked cooked, the room got to about 98 and the tank were about the same, we lost A LOT of fish, but we still got a few left, for some reason the catfish were fine none of them died, we lost a few pumpkin seeds, a lot of daces and all darters and 1 crayfish.I'm going netting and seining next week, to replace the fish that died, probably a few pumpkin seeds and some darters and daces and maybe another crayfish.Any ideas for the 55g still open to suggestions.Thinking about a Lmb in the 55g?

what about Madtoms for the 55?

The largemouth is a big no. Even a little one would outgrow a 55 in a few months. How about some of the larger stream minnows- hornyhead and creek chubs, common or striped shiners, stonerollers, plus a white sucker and a stonecat or two. These guys should do fine together so long as they are about the same size. The white sucker may outgrow the tank eventually but the others should be able to stay in it for life.
