Woll...I got the RTC about a month ago and the TSN I got a couple of weeks ago. The RTC has tripled in size and the TSN has grown maybe a 1/2" It's funny to see how their personalities are already showing and how different they are.

When do TSNs start getting their stripes?

Nice tigrinum...the TSN will get stripes soon, they'll develop preety soon but won't become terribly obvious until they reach 12''(about a yr old). Some fish get them sooner than others.

So true. I've seen 18'' plecos get eaten by 4 foot RTC's(not my own). Arapaimag's RTC's love to eat his monster plecos two.

Mine started displaying stripes at around 6", they become more vivid around 8-10" and are absolutely gorgeous around 12-18", but if you've ever seen one 24"+ they are a real sight to behold. One of the most gorgeous species of catfish.

That's what I'm hoping to see soon. I love TSNs. I've always wanted one and I just couldn't resist anymore.
