Sorry it's been so long since I posted pics of my gar. Life's been crazy for the last few months, with moving, getting married, and now trying to buy a new house.

My wife and I went to the Newport Aquarium (just outside of Cincinnati) this morning, and between that and promising Xander updated pics of my Spotted gar, I decided to take a few of my gar.

I have 3 shortnose gar, 2 Florida gar, and 1 True Spotted gar in this tank. Pics with the true spotted as the focus will come first.

thanks for posting, the spotted really does look good! and it seems that most of the gar forum has been having a bit of a crazy few months...haha

Yeah, all the fishies doing well. I wish the spotted would get a little bit bigger, he and the smaller Florida both. They get enough to eat (I make sure of that), they just don't seem to put on much weight.

The shorties are doing very well also. Its amazing how quickly all 4 of the gars from the pond acclimated back to being in a tank and taking pellet food. These guys ate ONLY feeders for about 8 months (fall plus spring) and yet they all took to pellets the first time I tossed them in the tank.

We are getting ready to move again soon. The fortunate thing is there is no hurry to move the tanks this time, since they're currently in my parents basement. We'll only move them over once we're settled in and have the house ready for them to arrive.
