well, i switched from sand back to gravel, i know it didnt last long, but after taking out about 3 grams of sand from my filter i figure i was doing to much damage to filters i spent allot of money on, so i went straight black,,, now my JD is dark as hell and they seem to like it,,,,

ps feeders are fed twice a week and a quarentined,

oscar is BIG!!!! he's a giant, and the jd is finally starting to get big, oscars age is unditermined and i got JD at petco as a juvi in feb of 07.

yeah it would suck, while i dont feed live for the thrill of a kill like some of the younger keepers here, its more for diet and sharpening of the fishes natural instinct. poor little guy tho
