today i caught a 2" mayan cichlid and a 1" cichlid of unknown species. they are every where around here but i dont know what they are. will post pics soon. i caught them in a lake by my house.

I assume the unknown is a tilapia mariae? Everything else you catch down there (I lived in Boynton for four years) is fairly easy to tell what it is.
no actually i think it is some thing called a yellowbelly guapote. i dont know. they only get to be about 4" max and are what you see trying to steal eggs from mating mayan cichlids. the adults get pretty colorful. mine just has stripes. they dont get colorful until about 2.5".
