I find because of aggression issues, these cichlids seem to do best in separate species tanks

I picked the bartoni up at the last gcca cichlid classic auction on a whim, and couldn't resist the carpintus fry at a buck each. Both species were quite small (1"-1.5")when I first brought them home. Grew them out together.

I use an off the shelf Canon Digital Rebel, although for the 2nd pic closeup of the bartoni, I added a macro ring
