Some of my bichir's and hybrid question

Hey haven't posted on this site in a while figured i'd share some updated shot's of my bichir,

first are my Endli's, all 3 are WC Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri "Tikinso Guinea"

Biggest is my female at 20" and fat!, male is 18-19" and the 3rd which i believe is also male is ~14" ish. I got measurement on the biggest female just yesterday the other 2 i'm eyeballing based on when they lay next too her lol

and my 3 ornates all range from 14-16", again a pair with an extra male no idea i they were WC or CB the group was a pet shop find

Now, in the groups, I've seen courting between my 2 largest endlis, also very frequently between the 2 of the ornates that have paired off.

ON a few recent occasions I've also noticed the male ornate courting the big female endli she's not very receptive so far and has a size advantage so she eventually chases him off sending him back too his own female but it got my wondering about hybrids. A quick google search shows me that the cross has occurred but i can only find pic's of the juvie's, does anyone have any pic's or links showing what an Endli x ornate looks like when it matures ?
 
the Endlies were brought in by a friend, the Ornates were a PU find, a buddy of mine spotted them at PU in Burnside, NS, he snatched them up knowing i would be interested.

Someone in that town like big fish with a small tank, every couple months someone brings in some healthy 14-18" fish that have outgrown their tank

I'm also interested in bichirs, where were you looking at?
 
That's a really nice collection! I've seen that pic of the juvie hybrid but i've never seen an adult.
 
Caught a snap shot of him checking out the female endlie again, she was coming up too see if i had food he as always is just frisky lol

front is distorted because of the glass and the 3" ply lip blocks the front half of the female, but it shows the size she's got on him, she's several inches longer and much more girth ,

Has anyone ever seen or even heard of an adult hybrid bichir ??
 
ya found that same pic when i punched "endli x ornate bichir" into a google search... Does anyone know who owns's/owned this fish or any of those fish ? where it is/any of them are now ?

nd what process are you talking about when you say "the use of hormones" ???
