Here are a couple of pics of my bichirs I just thought id share, the ornate is quite a beast. You don't really get an idea of his true size in these pictures but I tried getting the arowana in the shot for comparison haha

bichirs are truly growing on me, my roommate had one and i thought it was odd, and when i saw it chow down on earthworms,feeders,etc i was amazed. I can only get my hands on polypterus senegalus right now, but i want the big boys the ornates/endi's but they are so expensive :(!!!

I know what you mean. But believe me youll get hooked once you get your first one. Lower jaw species tend to be more expensive than upper jaws, but I try to get them as small as I can then grow them out to their potential, plus its cheaper that way too lOl

Baby Ornates here were about $10 and baby Endlis were $20! both just over an inch long.
