My over 2 foot Marbled Pim Catfish ( water colour is due to the fact the entire surface is covered in floating plants, so makes the water look yellowish, but the fish like it so I leave it )

Nice tanks, I have an opportunity to get a true giant gourmi, about 8" now - gets about 2 ft, but I heard its very aggressive, any thoughts.

They are extremly aggresive and cannot be housed with anything slow like an Arro or Lungfish, it beat the crap out of my Arro and the Arro is the same size as it. They have big teeth aswell, the eat anything, even meat, heck even other small fish. But truly it needs to be housed by itself, or with bottom dwellers, it wil also eat its own kind, so if you buy 3, then you 10 too 1 will end up with 1 like I did. Since that picture I traded him in as he was just getting to agressive, he is now in a 150 gallon by himself, he got demoted from a 240.

As for the other fish, they are in a 240 where he started out then got put in with the Tinfoils in the 180, the rest in the 180's and then the 110.

But I even had him with 12 inch Irridecent sharks and they are fast buggers, and he took the tail off one of them, its growing back half arsed but none the less it just shows they are mean.

They also like soft drift wood, I have in that picture as you may see a long branch, he chewed on it all the time.

I love that Groumi. It's amazing how big they can get. I mean I never knew until a few years ago that a small 3 inch groumi that you can buy at a pet store could grow up to be a monster.

RTGG has nice head shape.... beautiful tanks ;)
