Just wondering, what are the key diffreences between G. abalios and altifrons? Your abalios look kinda like my young "surinamensis"..

You've got some great looking fish there, the S. daemon is a stunner!

I guess the spotty pattern on their tails (altifrons) vs. stripy (abalios; somewhat variable as adults) and the size of the lateral spot are the most obvious differences...

looking great as usual peter :D im loving the daemon, how big are they now? how are your notatus fry? any pics of them :)

They are 3-4" now and doing very well. Apparently my water is soft and acidic enough for them to be happy :).

Not a whole lot of progress on the notatus. They'd been in a 20g until a few days ago....how are yours?

Orangeheads are least colorful when they are guarding fry....I'm getting tired of spawning these guys - can't see the nice colors, have to feed the fry, and they occupy a 55g. Thinking about throwing them back into the big tank with everybody else...

Latest batch of fry - probably around 200...
