Some of my red texas project pairs.

So it has been a very busy week for my fish with five pairs going almost at one time. Way too many fry coming up.



first two pics are green texas x red devil texas hybrid. They spawned this morning with around 600 eggs. The last three pics are of an oops breeding from supposed two female texas , un faded red texas. I say oops because fish in pics has always had black area in top fin and acted like a female the whole time but is the male. They have over a thousand fry right now that just hit the free swimming stage this morning. They swarmed on the fry food this morning like a cloud of locust. The whole group take up about the size of a basketball of water volume as they swim.

First two are male pure red devil x texas-fader flowerhorn. The female has produced several batches for me with several males. Total floozy as she will pair with anything i put her with. Male i did an experiment with feeding him kok food for flowerhorns to see what would happen. It is smaller now than a week ago when i ran out of the food but got my answer.
Third pic is fader flowerhorn male x red texas female again another red devil texas cross. Male is still unproven but both are dropping their breeding tubes so we will see.
Last two pics are so far white with pearls faded red texas male x unfaded red texas. Male is proven fertile female is not yet but I expect will be.

All of these pics were taken with my phone. I will try and brake out the digital camera on my day off and take better ones to share.

Congrats on the pair's that produced fry's for you. Props and dedication for getting that much pair's going. You must have a garage full of tanks set up for these projects. Very nice pair's. Can't wait to see the outcomes of each pair's fry.

Tanks are up in two rooms of the main part of house and the fish room is going into the other end of house in a very large office room. So far with all tanks and ponds up and going over 2000 gallons and still not enough when they all want to go at once. lol... Some of my fish are on their second generation of my project. Thanks for the kind words and I hope to keep the progress posted for all.

Ya he was from a barred pair of red devils and i had hoped at least one would stay barred but no such luck. I still like him anyways and over the next few weeks expect him to finish fading. The other four all did in just a few weeks time once started.
