Hi all! :D
So I've decided to try Discus! It will be a while until I actually am keeping them though, maybe a month or two. I'm going to give my 75 a make over to house them first. On my 75, I have a pair of Fluval 405s, They put out decent flow and my fish have always seem to like the open water flow. I can see by their shape Discus probably won't like all that flow, I'll rerun one of the filters return line to point straight down, do you guys think even just the one filter blowing through the tank will be too much? Should both filters exhaust downward, other ideas?? Thanks in advance guys :)

I have a 110g with 2 AC110's and 2 large canister filters moving water around. Water movement is fine. The only problem they may encounter is pulling food in the column while feeding. Most will scavenge from the bottom.

Having both won't be a problem, discus don't like much high currents, but I don't think yours will have enough power to disgust them. I have a similar setup with two eheim 2217, what I used to do is to simply plug the canisters to a timer so that when feeding time comes it stops both for 10 minutes.

Thank you guys!! Eddus, great idea, I'd totally do it, but my Fluvals sometimes take forever to restart when they shut off :/
Thanks again, actually since I planned to redo the canister lines, I was gonna plumb the intake closer to the bottom of the tank, better rethink that :)
