Some photos of Pelicans in South Florida

Nice stuff. Where is this at?

I'd probably add that larger fish kill pelicans as they cannot pass it. If anything, they should be offered only the smallest of catches. AFAIK from stern postings around our piers and parks.

i gave the smaller fish. but they are very bold. i have seen them simply just come up and quickly steal fish from people. lots of angry fishermen.

It's in Dania Beach, South Florida

I see. That's on the other coast, 1.5 h away from me. SW FL pelicans appear to be better raised by their pelican papas and pelican mamas around here :) At least I've never seen them being so reckless here.

I guess they are more well behaved over there. here, i've seen one grab fish right from the hook (when it was flapping on a ground). the fisherman was pissed and even try to kick the pelican.

They do try to snatch hooked fish here too but usually not anywhere near a fisherman.
