How does your bowfin get along? I hear they can be pretty nasty with other fish.

there have been no problems yet.. i just got the smaller 1 a few weeks ago and they seem to be fine. i am anticipating problems eventually. the bowfin are with 2 polys both over 13". a gar around 16" and 5 oscars ranging between 5 and 12" and 3 convicts. larger bowfin is close to 15" and smaller is a bit over 12".. i never thought it would work out with everything. Only time will tell
 
I had one. They get mean when you sell fish. The tank clears out a little and then the bowfin figures out that it can be the boss and he will be within 24 hours. Mine would always tare up catfish. But this is my experience. Good luck. There cool fish I miss mine.
