This pair goes through all the motions of spawning but just wont do the deed. They build very elaborate nest, way down under the rocks. They are boss' of the tank but not to aggressive towards others.

Very pretty male is about 6"

Not quite as pretty female is 4". She just wont get the blue on her face

Yours are looking good, it just takes them some time to color up but they will. I have a female about 4", she just starting getting blue on the face this month. After I treated for ich last month I noticed she started coloring up alot with the temp up at 86. I keep it at 82 now. She also starting coloring up when I added my Hoplarchus psittacus.
