i might be getting two given to me in two weeks

What i have:
a 40 gallon tall.
500 gallon turn over per hour,
planted, logs and some rocks.

The tank is a bit cold, it stays around 67-73o...
I have 1 6 inch Prickly sculpin that eats anything less then half her size..she is almost full sized, and 2 other sculpin just past the 3 inch mark

the purple spotted gudgeon are currently 4 inches
( i dunno where to post this thread)

bump.....anyone know anything about these guys?..

or maybe a forum that i might get more response in?

Yeah. Mine grew from 2" to 6" in about two months. They're cute and greedy. Easy fish and very beautiful in the sunlight.

you think two of them and my sculpin would get along? in a 40 gallon

Gudgeons have an unfortunate shape that's very easy for big predators to get into their mouths. I absolutely would not trust a six-inch prickly with them.

The temperature of the tank is not a problem. My gudgeons have been in an unheated tank all year that went down into the low 60s, possibly upper 50s with no problems whatsoever.

Your tank and the 3-inch sculpin would be fine for the gudgeons, but you're going to have to choose between your big sculpin and the gudgeons.

:( no..i don't a jerk of a fish store owner who hates me jumped in on the forum and took them out from under me...so none for me,

its ok though ....he closed a week later!!!!
