coll,on the far left is that a basking lamp or a uvb,I just wonder because if its basking I would think it would heat that tank with no cooler end.Just wondering,not trying to bash.Cool hog nose,I just got the 18x18x24 exoterra thing today for my crested.They arent cheap are they?

For the farleft, it is an incandescent 60 watt. It warms it to 90 degrees, the cool end is about 75-80, but i do not use the lamp everyday or for the whole day, but simulate it with morning-late afternoon (wake up late anyway). Yeah the exoterra thing is expensive little cubicle for my crested, which I am probaly giving away (the lizard not tank lol).

heres a big question are western hoggys considered hots? i kno they have a venom that aids their digestion but isnt dangerous to humans.

The venom may cause swelling, but rarely ever does.
They're pretty docile most of the time so dont need to worry about them biting anyways.
No one has ever died from a hognose bite, swelling happens in some cases though.

They arent considered hots though, so dont worry.
Hots are illegal in my state and Lots of people have hognoses.
