Yes, they can cross almost all state lines. Depends what state. They are protected in some states where they are native. Anyone remember what states?

Indian spotted pond turtles are the ones that can't cross state lines, unless its a gift or a breeding lone.

They can cross State lines all day long......However, State laws in the states they're native to dictate what you can and can't do with them.........

I think there's only 2 (maybe 3) states throughout their range where they're not protected. Florida being one of them.
