Some toad pics

This is our only toad, found it in our garden which is cool, never found a reptile or amphibian anywhere near our house. Such a nice colour too.
Our common toad, Bufo bufo:

I have found Bufo americanus before that were that shade of orange.

Yeah, not seen them this colour before, so was pleased. It was a beauty!
Was under a pile of leaves, almost got skewered by a pitchfork! Lucky I'm careful because of hedgehogs...

How big was he/her? Looks like a monster toad! Most of the ones around me are the usual shade of brown, sometimes yellow. Glad you didn't skewer it!

I found a BRIGHT yellow Gulf Coast toad like you wouldnt believe when I was about 10. I named him big bird because he chirped a lot and was so yellow. I didnt know it at the time, but I think it could have been hypo... It wasnt albino though, that would have been even cooler. My mom made me let him go though! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH

Any toad I find recieves so mercy from me. I impale it with a shovel then proceed to beat it senseless with a golf club then drop a 23 pound block of wood to crush its skull. Fun.

think that's overkill and a bit sick in the head... but as long as it's just cane toads whatever...
