The Bowfin are proving difficult to photograph.

i just can't get over how nice the bowfins get with black sands. i am deff going to put my bowfins, gar and polys in with black moon sand that i have.

Yea, I prefer most fish over dark substrate.

Thanks. This tank was intended to be a look down. No bracing 2" thick acrylic all around. Came close to setting my reef up in it.

This is a dumb question, but is a Bowfin the same as a dogfish? I've caught dogfish a couple different times and was always told to toss them up on the bank.

Those gars and bowfin are looking great on that dark substrate. How big are the fish? Any other tankmates planned?
