Any of you MFKr's who are married will understand.

I have two filter socks. When I change one out the dirty one goes right in the washer with no detergent and an extra rinse cycle. My wife knows this. Instead of taking it out before she threw in a load of clothes she poured detergent all over it and washed it in the normal load. But it's my fault. It's always my fault.

Looks like its a trip to the LFS tomorrow for a new sock.

Can't you just bleach and boil the socks and re-use it?
 
Been married for a year and a half. You'd think I'd know by now. Lol.

I'd rather not risk using it after having detergent all over it. I just bought a new one.

After 21 years married I've learned the "yes honey" "sorry honey", the nod. I use "I understand what you mean" however if she comes back with "YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT?" and you weren't actually listening in the first place, prepare to run. I seem to always need to get something at the store lol.

Ps. Bring something back for her or repeat above lol

When you go to the LFS come home with some new fish and the sock and then wait for your wifes head to spin. LOL
