so i have figured my t5h0 is the culpret to my brown algea issue in my large tank from moving the light to my 75g within 2 days has brown algea and my large tank barely has any now...
so right now i have a 10,000k ocean sun bulb, and a 420 actinic coral sun bulb both 54watts 48" fixture... whats the deal with the "k" rating ? that mean the lower the k rating the more yellow the light is and not as bright ? ad the higher the k rating is the more white it is and brighter the bulb it self is ? and how do they rate the actinic bulbs ? what is an actinic bulb anyway a 50/50 ? and why are they labelled in 420nm and 460nm ? i wanna have a pair of bulbs in my fixture that give me a nice bright look to it like i have now BUT with no friggin brown algea problems...
what about just going to home hardware and buying a 6ft long dual bulb fixture and just run a pair of "cool" white reg flourescent bulbs ? what would that look like ? im not really handy enough to build my own DIY LED unit at all...
