So since around may i have noticed some days a tire or tires will look low on my car. I always glance at my tires before i get in, i always shrugged it off as a leaking valve core or something other than a leak in the tire, as my tires were rotated and balanced over the summer. It has happened in total about 5/6ish times. Either way its annoying, and not always the same tire. Sound a little suspicious?

Yesterday we took my gf's car to go somewhere because my rear left and front right looked really low. Now just a month ago i had an oil change and tires have been full since. It was very abrupt. I check them out today, and the valve caps are on about half way.

Hmm...loose valve caps and two tires randomly very low...to about 5-10 psi from 30.

I was not the last person to put the valve caps on...the oil change place was so i cannot 100% assume based on that. But overall it sounds very sketchy.

Thoughts? Its not like my tires are slashed or popped. If it is someone doing it its one as an inconvenience to me, or that i won't notice since they aren't flat and they will go boom when m driving?

Thoughts? I live in an apartment complex. Maybe i need to invest in some small surveillance cameras?

What's the temps been like where you are. I'm not sure if you know this but in colder months the air will condense so your tires will look flat although they have the same amount of air as they did when it was warm.

Just go top them off to the right psi. then if they start getting low over time again then you might have a problem.

It is an overnight type deal, i will go to my car in the morning and they are down 20 psi (i check and fill back up). Not always the same tire, never all the tires. This has been going on since may...so its been going on since warm up through the summer and now thats its gotten cold.

So basically what you suggest is whats been going on for months....about 5 times.

Don't tighten the valve caps completely, take a white pen/thin white chalk, mark a line going from the valve cap to stem. Don't make it obvious. See if it is in the same spot later.

I know you can place a tiny pepple in the valve stem and tighten it just a bit so that it slowley lets out the air a tiny bit at a time.

rmorse has your ticket...
That sounds like a great course of action. Just a tiny mark. If anyone tampers with it, the odds of them stopping in exactly the same place you did is miniscule at best.

Will do this...thanks for the suggestion.
