It seems like I get no answers to my questions lately... Maybe someone will have an opinion for me?

I want to know how many loaches I can have happily in this tank: Heavily-planted 55g long, kept at about 76F to accomodate both:
-Weather Loaches
-Kuhli Loaches
-2 peacock eels (never in nom-range of the kuhlis or gups)
(And a bunch of top dwellers like guppies and/or glass catfish)

I want to know if 5-6 weathers, 15ish kuhlis, the eels, and a decent pack of guppies/etc are okay for this tank. 25% water changes a week.

Someone please answer, I really need opinions from outside my local petstores!

I would say no. 15 Kuhli loaches is a little too much for a 55g long; same with 5-6 weather loaches. Weather loaches get to be around 10" and Kuhlis around 4".

I would maybe get 2-3 weather loaches, 4-8 kuhlis, 2 eels, and your decent pack of guppies/glass cats/etc instead of what you had in mind.

I don't advise ever combining kuhlis and weather loaches. Kuhlis are way too timid for the likes of peacock eels and weather loaches. If you insist keeping kuhlis, keep only them! For other bottom dwellers, kuhlis are quite compatible with farlowellas, bristlenose plecos and corydoras.

From my experiences - Kuhli loaches hide way too much in a deco/planted tank. They are hardly ever seen. So, weather loaches at no more than 6 would be my choice. 3 dark and 3 albinos be cool. Good luck!
