For the last week my retic pup has been burying himself more and more. At first I wasn't concerned as he was still eating like a pig. Then last evening he didn't eat much at all. This morning he totally refused food. I had even put some blackworms directly in front of him. He came out from under the sand, moved to another location and buried again. The hystrix is still eating well and active. I had noticed that the smallest of my discus had white poop again the other day. They(discus) also don't seem to be eating like they were.

I have started to do 25% water changes more frequently. I had been doing 35-40% once a week and an average of 10% per day. Tested the water before and after feeding with everything well. PH stable, nitrate slightly higher than I like 40-60, but stable since I started the tank.

I've started another treatment of metro this morning due to what I am seeing with the small discus. Could the larger ray in the tank be causing stress for the retic? Any other thoughts or suggestions?

I have noticed he is better with either dim lighting or no lights. I do know that none of the other fish are picking at him, though the hystrix seems to not care about swimming over top of him and at times even sitting still over top of him.

he is just a little scared, I am sure he will be fine and begin to stay on top of the substrate instead of under it
