Something does not look right with my Jag.

Or maybe i missed the Discovery Channel/BBC special on Managuense...

One of my Jags has what looks like a gill growing out of the gill plate.
Is this normal or should i be concerned, the other Jag in the tank is larger by about an inch and doesn't have this.

No it was sarcasm at it's poorest form...

All joking aside i looked and looked found articles about gill curl and flukes.... neither... Read another article about genetic defect people call lion head and it isn't that as the defect is visible early on.
This looks like the gill plate cover is not growing and the membrane underneath is visible.
