My boyfriend wants to start breeding fish again (used to breed guppies as food for some of his fish until those fish died then he stoped breeding them) and wants something easy but doesn't want guppies and also wants something that doesn't need a huge amount of room can fit in a 30 gal or smaller. He has three 30 gal, one 20 gal, and five 10 gal tanks with filters, heaters, all that stuff.

convicts! 4 sure!:D

What's he planning on doing with the fry? There are a bunch of fish that are considered easy to breed but getting rid of all the extra fish can become a huge hassle.

He already has friends and family who says that they'll take any of the fry. the rest he's not quite sure what he's going to do with though but he's thinking about getting fish like he used to have that will be able to eat any of the fry that he can't find a place for them

Does he want to try any other livebearers like Mollies? Convicts are real easy as egg layers go.

he doesn't really know what he wants to breed, i'm trying to help him figure that out. he doesn't care how hard it is to breed the fish but i think since it's been so long since he last bred something that he should start out with something easy and then move on to something a bit harder

if you get a nice breeding pair of cons they will be pretty good
