Some members may recall that I lost my long-time friend, Misha, a few months ago. Recently, I adopted 2 shelter cats because my house was way too quiet for my liking. I also had too many nice unmessed and unbroken things, apparently. Misha was a full adult when I adopted her. I'd forgotten what it was like to have a couple of youthful and energetic cats in the house (I never let my cats outdoors).
One of the things I failed to consider was that, on occassion, the cats would want attention at the same time. I'm just glad I'm a big person. Otherwise, this pair would be constantly falling off one side or the other. Problem being...2 cats and only 1 lap. Here are Thelma and Louise (Louise on the left and Thelma on the right)

BTW, it's only during these rest periods that I can be somewhat sure that the rest of the house is safe.

Ok, here is what ya do, get some old buckets and lay blankets in them then gat a large branch and lay it across your shoulders, then take a rope and hang the buckets from the brach and stuff the cats in the buckets. Joila, enough room for both cats to be next to you.

nice you got some new cats oddball. just wondering why you dont let them outdoors? i love it when cats are around, their antics are just hilarious, i miss not having them around

Nice cat's Oddball .. If I owned a cat I would'nt let it out either, for fear of injury or just the impact the cat would have to small wildlife in my area .. :D

cute kittys just make sure you keep all the nice expensive stuff out and the other stuff kept behind glass makes it more fun

I don't let them out due to all of the different species that are harmful to them (ticks, chiggers, wasps, fire ants, loose dogs, feral cats, copperheads, rattlers, gators, rednecks in PU trucks, eagles, etc.)
Add to that the couple of grand I spent on hummingbird-attractant plants and bushes. The last thing I want to see is one of my cats presenting a dead hummingbird as a gift for me.
