I recently noticed some kind of fine, stringy, clear, dust like substance clinging to the sides of my tank, filter, and a couple of my plants,-not really moving except with the current of the water. Does anyone know what this could be? It doesnt seem to be harming anything but the astetics of the tank, I'm worried it could be harmful to my fish though...

my camera cant catch it very well, i looks VERY much like dust

read toeheads thread its about the same thing, its just algae. use a magfloat

yeah i tried the magfloat, everything just came back a day later, plus its on my plants, gravel, wood, filter etc.

thats why you have to do it daily lol. you cant just set up an aquarium and have it be self sufficient
