Something growing on my HOB

I have something growing on my HOB. I have 3 emperor 400. I run the standard carbon pad and baskets of bio. It looks like either fungus or algae. It looks like a pillowy whiteish material. Should I clean it off? Will my plecos eat it? Oh it is growing on where the water is returned to the tank.

white fuzz sounds like rotting/molding food..

not something i want my fish eating...
