Hey everyone! first time on mfk, heard the rules here aren't as strict as on other forums so please don't be rude if I ever post something a bit dumb or novice or non-monster fish related, sometimes I need multiple forum sites because the others don't give me enough answers/replies.
well back onto the thread, this isn't bad btw. So back when I blindly took advice from petco the guy sold me 2 paradise fish for my 20 long. BAD IDEA! they fought, obviously. well a long while back I put the beta male in an overstocked 10 gallon and I left the alpha male in the 20. at this moment the 20 long has 4 still very young bn plecos, a mix of three danios (1 leopard, 2 zebra), a male pink tuxedo guppy, and my 2 male paradise fish.
believe it or not all the fish get along perfectly, no signs of stress or injuries, everyone eats. matter of fact, the guppy is like the alpha's henchman, always by his side and he never gets hurt.
There is obviously a size difference between the alpha and the beta, which I thought was funny but at the same time a bit worrying.
I do have something to ask though, should I separate them or would it be okay to keep them together? I'm planning on upgrading the tank and moving a lot of fish, rehoming the beta male is part of the plan but things can be arranged. also I'll ask the admins if I can post a thread that doesn't mention any real aggressive or monster fish other than bettas, the paradise gouramis, and a brief mention of a green terror.
