She has been doing some wired swimming type behavior just recently and I am not sure if this is cause for concern or not.

It's hard to describe but I will try my best. She of course doesn't do anything wired if I try and film it.

She tend to swim around in a bit of a frantic state. A few 360s, some stop and go movements, swimming backwards at times, in and out of her clay cave, Circling inside her cave.

My first thoughts are that she is scared of something, but it doesn't make sense. If I stand thee to watch her she just tried to interact with me and beg for food. I can stick my hand in the tank and she comes right up to it.

Nothing has really changed either so I am not sure what's going on. She is definitely in control of her movement and it seem very deliberate but also just kind of random and spastic.

Thoughts?

Is her belly getting fat. Females lay eggs if male's are around or not. She may be getting ready to lay a batch.

I figured out what it was.

I started playing a new PC game and it was reflecting on the tank. Because of the nature of the game it's alot of fast moving and colors and effects. Was freaking her out.

I covered her side panel on the tank facing hear the computer and problem solved.
haha my Oscar watches TV

Apparently Toni got used to watching TV. Took a bit to get Toni to relax when she moved to live at Go_redfish Go_redfish 's place till she set a TV and put on animal shows.
She likes the Blue Planet series and a documentary about periodical cicadas. Anything with footage of insects will have her hanging out at the end of the tank nearest the TV tho. She also watches Emma do lessons, play mine craft, or color pictures at the coffee table. Toni is very intersted in what's going on outside the tank aside from "are you coming to feed me".
