I went to London on Thursday and came back yesterday. I got my neighbour to feed my turtles and fish when I came back my Common snapper (chelydra serpentina) had white spots/ tears on his body. I raised the temp, added salt, doing a W/C later and adding mores salt after. He is pooing, eating, swimming an walking fine.

I had to take him to my friends house so I can use his sister's camera to show what's wrong with him.

P.S Sorry in advance if you think I was holding him wrong I had to show all the parts where these marks are occurring.

*SORRY FOR THE BORING VOICE, I AM NOT FEELING TOO GOOD *

is it a fungal type looking infection? I wouldn't just add salt if you don't know whats wrong...

One of my snappers had such a white spot on her head. Small white fungus like spot.
But mine was bigger when it appeared. Its gone now, after a summer outside.
I didnt do anything to cure it. Nothing outside the normal care.
Especially didnt handled her unnecessary.
If it is a skin condition, he's not gonna feel better after your treatment. Salt is otiose.
Such a little snapper's gonna be very unhappy being handled like you do. No offence.
These animals are though as nails.
Your snapper should be shedding continuously, at this size. He doesnt. Means something is not right.
Waterconditions, uvB, food, etcetera.
These marks are a sign something is wrong.
Improve his living conditions and you should be fine.

He is shedding loads, I am constantly needing to get rid of the dead skin on his neck and under shell. I think its because he NEVER basks, I giv him reptomin and powdered crickets so he gets his calcium and vitamin d3
