IN A PLACE
I came home yesterday to find one of my 4 BGK's with his tail bit clean off. All of my BGK's are about 10" long and have been togethor since I got them as babies 5 years ago. Could it be knife on knife aggression? There are literally 100 fish in the tank (175g). My other suspects include: school of clown loaches (they were eating a piece of the tail), flagtail (6" in size, doubtful), mbu puffer (4", kind of retarded and has to be handfed shrimp and snails). THe rest of the fish include rainbowfish, roseline barbs, various plecos, niger cat, and 24" fire eel (only eats shrimp).

LMK some theories and if you have any q's.

If it's a clean bite.. anythign with powerful jaws... aka anther knife, or the puffer would be my prime suspects.

yup, the tail was bit clean off. The thickness of the tail was bigger than the puffer's mouth--i don't think the puffer could make a clean bite.

It could be the clown loach's.. one time mine bit my 11" fire eel tail and it hasn't been the same ever since. :(
