Now that my Arapaima is gone i decided to buy something that would stay in my 75g for quite a while/life in my tank so I decided to go with a nice African Pike.
I got him a little beaten up from the Arowanas he was in the tank with, I think hes really beautiful and looks like a cross between a Tiger Fish and a Barracuda.
What should I feed it? The worker told me feeders but i want to get him off those fast. His tank mates are 1x 13" Ornate Bichir and 1x 9" Senegal Bichir.
He got the last laugh on all of the workers at the Lfs when midway to the register he ripped a huge hole in the bag spilling water everywhere:ROFL:
Ill post pictures as I receive them from my phone

does anybody know how big these guys get? Ive researched them quite a bit and ive seen it say they get 12", 15", the pet store said 15" also, and a thread on MFk said they get 3'???

That depends on which exact species you have. Odo? Something else?

its odoe

I'm finding the same mixed info you probably did. 14" or 27". Hmm. You know what I'd do? Keep him and take good care of him and hope he maxes out small enough to keep. :). 75 gal sure cuts in close, though.

alright thanks, I sure hope he doesnt max out at 27" tho

anyone have one of these? what do u feed it?

odoes are nice but do get a little big for a 75g...so what happened with the silver aro and the jardini?
