i set my 125g up in mid december when i moved. i didnt have much time to scape it since i went out of town right after i moved. well today i finally had a little free time. i purchased 2 bags of play sand, i think 40 or 50lbs each. i started washing and man was it a pain. i only got through about half a bag before i had to go study, but its still a good start and an imporvement IMO. the tank was very dark and most of the fish were skittish i think b/c of the tank being so dark. it was hard to photograph the fish in there. the tank is a little cloudy but looking good. when said and done i will have 80-100lb of play sand and 20lb of tahatian moon sand mixed in. it looks pretty good so far
lights are 2x 36" 42watt t5s, so not a heck of a lot of light. my 55g now only houses my gold and rotkeil severums, some fry, and a 1.5" banjo cat
my stock so far
(1) 4" jurupari
(1) 5" chocolate cichlid
(1) 3" royal pleco L190
(1) 7" senegal
(1) 4.5" delhezi
(1) 5" indo dat
(5) 2.5"-4" h. psittacus (true parrots)
(1) 4" fei feng
ill get some better pics when the cloudyness dissipates. ill put more sand in as i have time from school and work. im going to be adding more wood. i want to add a little to my stock but im waiting on the psittacus to grow larger so i can decide which i want to keep and sell the other 4. i will prolly add 2 more jurupari, a severum of some sort, and im thinking a vieja or something for some more color
