Hi, I am currently 100% not sure what animal I want. All I know is it needs to be kept in an aquarium/tank (any size), it needs to involve water, and it needs to be a PREDATOR. Just not sure what I want so I guess I will ask you...

Following these guidelines, of the many options out there :nilly: , what would you choose?

Hopefully your idea will inspire me. I currently have: 1 VATF, 1 RBP, 1 Fire Eel, 1 Clown Knife, 3 platys. I want to get something new, but don't know what. What's crossed my mind: Upgrading my RBP tank and adding a couple more, trying another snapping turtle, Silver Arowana/Ray/Others, finding some sort of aquatic lizard or something.

I guess a good start would be to let people know what the maximum size tank your willing to go at this current time?

As i'm sure you know, there are just way too many options that would fit that bill... just depends on the size of tank you have available or are willing to get which will help cut the list down a bit...

Whatever you have in mind, always ensure the new addition is not any smaller size than your existing fishes in tank, if not it will be good target as prey. Goliath might be a good choice I personally think. Good luck

I have thought about a Goliath too. I already have a Vittatus though, so I am leaning away from that. Whatever creature I acquire, it will be in a separate enclosure, built/purchased specially for it. And for the time being, alone. I was thinking about doing a serious enclosure with a dwarf caiman... Total idea could be some serious $$$ but hey, go big or go home!

What do you guys have to say about a dwarf caiman?

after some reading I believe GATF don't belong in the hobby at all. For your tank i'd probably get a mid sized wolf fish or a smaller gar species like florida

He says around 750 gallons and you recomend a florida gar? Id say a large turtle. I saw a huge snapping turtle. Once at a lfs, very cool.

With 750G you have a lot of choices... damn, i would even go as far as to recommend a MBU puffer for that size tank...
