Something, not sure what? some kinda Cichlid

So I had this awhile back after I sold the freshwater set-up the new owner told me he stopped eating and passed(guess he missed me ). I had him for about 6 months he was about 6-7"'s in length; his name was buck as he had two large front (buck) teeth and I got him from the LFS.

Yeah, a messed up male grammodes. Just heal him and take care of him. He will look much better.

i honestly don't feel that isn't fully recoverable. he may recover but not to the point it looks normal.

Grammodes. Um...I have a feeling he's not going to recover at all, since he said "he stopped eating and passed". Just a thought.

Do all grammodes have teeth and a basket mouth like that? I have not kept grammodes befor but my first impression of the fish i was thinking dovii x grammode not saying it is but i have a lady dovii with that same head and mouth.
