Something wrong with my apple snail? Pic inside

I've noticed this yellow protrusion from my apple snail over the past couple of weeks. I tried taking a picture of it but I couldn't get it to focus well but here it is anyway. Looks like a small yellow worm toward the end.

Snail is active and seems to be ok. Has anybody seen this before?

my snails have these and are you sure its not the vent ...mine have theyre vents out all the time
is it possible your vent is yellow on a dark snail? but like you said its was hard to fous so it is hard to tell...
i lost one of my favorite snails the other day due to an unfortunate event with my power head....god thing he laid a 1000 of himself before he passed lol

I'm pretty sure that isn't it. He has the vent thing that is dark and hollow, and much longer. This thing doesn't seem to move and just hangs there.

Doh! Looks like a penis dangling to me. Has this been confirmed to be a male before? Most likely penis if this is a male.
