jardini is about 3.5inches long. its tail is slowly deteriorating/rotting, losing it's color, etc. one of the eyes beginning to look partial blind, cloudy. it's bottom lip looks like it's rotting also or injured. water seems fine & it's 80 degrees now. ph is around 6.8. anyone know what's wrong?

I would raise the temp to 84-88 and add salt to start... Then take the next suggestions that are soon to show up :) Sorry I'm a believer that salt and heat are the beginning of most treatment :)

ok so i currently added some salt and raised the temp up by a few degrees. but i dont have the other products, never used them before. i'll get some tomorrow. but do anyone know what it is caused by?

check your water parameters... i'm not saying you got dirty water. better be safe than sorry. raising the temp and adding salt, i never tried it yet. but when you raise the temp make sure you got more airpump to give O2 to the water. i keep arowanas at 7.4-7.6pH (tap water). cloudy eyes usually is from stress - from my experience.:)

Pictures would help the more experienced jardini keepers give you a close diagnosis.. Or better suggestion of how to help.. I only suggest salt and heat because it is probably the safest thing to do without a proper diagnosis and is pretty good for Bacterial and parasite destruction :) Sound like fin rot. Could turn into many other issues..

Agreed IF is fin rot.. Water conditions are the popular reason :)
