Something WRONG with ny FISH

Hi guys,

For the past few days, my flowerhorn does not eat as much....and today he did not eat at all...

He keeps his mouth open, and it keeps blowing in and out...like his mouth keeps moving forwards and inwards (its like he can't close his mouth)...non stop..this never happened...can anyone tell me what this might be and whats the best procedure to take to fix this problem :(

Do a large water change but test your parameters first. take some pics and post them along with the parameters. Is it breathing heavy or is the mouth actually stuck open? We need to figure out if it is bacterial or parasites or both. Do you have a QT tank? I would QT him give lots of fresh water and add salt at 2 tbs per 10 gallons and see how he does for a few days with daily water changes and salt. If he goes downhill what antibiotics and anti parasite meds can you get?
 
Most of the times is infected with hole in the head disease than slowly down to mouth cannot close, eye pop out, head got holes or white liquid coming out from it. Go get some hole in the head medicine and put it in your tank, hopefully it can cure if too late will definite die.
 
ill do a big water change today. And yes hes breathing heavily with his mouth open, doesn't close it
 
Oh crap guys, he has two small white spots on his forehead....you got to be kidding :( what can i do? :/ looks like Hole in the head
 
Go get this medication from fish shop - Octozin for hole in the head before is too late.
 
Water changes were like 2 weeks time span on average...good filtration, not over feeding...and only one fish in the 55gallon.... living in Australia ITS SO DAMN HARD TO GET MEDICINE GOD
 
I would try 2 tbs of salt per 10 gallons with daily 75% water changes. Its a small tank so should not be that much work. I figured you would have a tough time getting metro or kanamyacin. take some pics.
