I fed my fish today and my pleco began to fan self and now my two cory cats are breathing heavily and pleco fans self every once in a while but corys are swimming around and digging in gravel but still breathing heavy all other fish are acting normal. fish include 1 blue phantom plec,2 lemon tetras,2 cory cats, 1 bleeding heart tetra, 1 cardinal tetra and silver hatchetfish after this started happening I cleaned the filter wich was really dirty and turned on a airiation power head I use for emergencies but my question is wat could be going on and I barely have any stress zyme (bio filter support) left so is this a prob and should I risk water change or just moniter and not feed till I get more stress zyme?

Take it to local fish shop, they should be able to test it for you.

A water change shouldn't hurt, as it sounds like an ammonia problem.

did water change and added neutral regulator for ph also put in stress coat to rid clorine ect and some stress zyme but plec still fanning im leaving powerhead and oxegenator on but wat now should I do?

At 10:30 at night w/o a test kit, not much. How much water did u change? How long's the tank been set up, how big of tank? I agree w/ the ammonia problem, but could be nitrites. Water change would help either way. I've done up to 50% before.

did decent sized water change tank is about 15-20 gallons tank had simaler problem before but that was a month ago all was well till today tank has been set up for two months here at my new place as of today and had tank for two years till move

Better look into getting a test kit. Without knowing the water parameters, any advice given could be more harmful then helpful.

I have a feeling that either A) your tank maybe going through a mini cycle since you said you cleaned your filters or B) your tank is over-stocked and your filter can't handle the bio-load...
