well just a few days ago i looked at my oscar and i saw some holes in the side of his head and i didnt know what was wrong he is acting ok but i just need to know if he will be ok

sorry just realised how vague my post was! Check out the other topic just under this one, i'd post the link but i'm using my phone! Its called HLLE Savable? I believe. I'd say test your water. What size tank is it, what do you feed, how often, etc.

are they small symmetrical holes? they could just be sensory pits, some people mistake these for HLLE/HITH. if they are not symmetrical and look more like eroded pitting and erosion around the nostrils and stuff then its HITH, check your water parameters and let us know what they are. what size is the tank and how often do you do waterchanges? if it is HITH it is most commonly very easy to take care of with clean water and a varied diet and as long as its not bad then there shouldnt really be any scarring either

post some pics of your oscar, if they're just pin prick sized than thats just normal, oscars have larger sensory pits compared to other fish. if they are more like craters then it could be the start of HITH (hole in the head). here's a picture comparing a healthy fish to two with HITH

Seriously clean your water, and feed him a good diet. What size tank is he in?
