I've finally managed to save up $350 to go toward my 180 gallon tank. I sold off my orchid collection (5 years worth of plants!) for the money.
Then the stupid washer broke Tuesday and I had to use my tank money to get a new one. :irked:

Seems like whenever I manage to save up anything to put toward my tank something happens I and I have to do the "responsible adult" thing with my money.

It pisses me off that hubby gets the 360, PS2, satellite radio, CD player, etc, but my "extra" money goes toward kids clothes and appliances.:irked:

I have always been told, "Just when you think you are getting ahead, Something happens that ruins those plans" It's sooooo true.
Sorry to hear that you have to start saving for the 180 again.

I hear you.. I have the same problems most of the time.

Sounds like You and the Hubby need to sit down and have a talk ;)

Wow the same thing happened to me my wasehr went out and the money i saved for a tank went to the new washer. $350 for a 180 thats a good deal

These things happen and it does suck.
Your husband should help you out,I know if my wife needed cash for a big tank Id help her:D

first of if he is your hubby he should love you- make him understand! but really he should help you out! Now as for the whole money go away becuase of stupid things - I totally get it. I save up money for fish/fish stuff and something always happens to my ex-stupid car then i have to put it all in there grr.

Tell your husband that there is this really cute divorce lawyer that has been stopping in at work and he has been bugging you for a date. Ask your husband what you should do, and in the same breath say the kids need clothes and you want your own fish tank.
