So I have some great news! One of my buddies is moving so sadly he had to shut down his tanks. The good news is that I've been given an empty 55 gallon he had used for some angelfish. The other good news is that I saw an extremely exciting thread about a fish I've been wanting to keep more than Afras, (which I'm still considering for my other 55) and tropheus. Blue dolphins. I forget where I saw this one, but someone said that you could fit a male and possibly two females in there if it was filtered and maintained properly, because the females stay smaller. Is this true? Could it be done?

The tank only has an emperor 400 on it, so since I like the way my chemistry stays on my other tank, I'm going to do the same thing on this one and add a penguin 350. With this tank I will religiously perform twice weekly water changes, and the tank will be decorated sparsely, with just a few territory spots for the male. The rest will be sand and open water for them to move and sift through.
So that's it. Fingers crossed!

I know a friend of mine has one in a 60 gallon, just a 55 gallon but taller and its worked for years. I think she looks a bit cramped not much room to turn around. But she is happy. Good luck with the group!
