how big is it, i would say it is a FW goby or a darter.

I literally just caught some of these yesterday at dusk, I got mine from the Econfinda(sp?) creek in Florida. They seem to be pretty hardy and I am lucky enough to probably have gotten a pair. Mine are close to 1" and seem o.k. Have you fed yours yet? I was wondering because I hope to have these beauties as permanents in my aquarium.

Good luck, and these fish really are gorgeous

im pretty sure those are swamp darters every now and then i get a couple mixed in when i buy ghostshrimp

i caught one last night and the night before that on the scugog river Ontaro Canada and the water is close to freezing or colder, thats a pretty wide temprature range compared to florida. mine are about 3" I put some pellets in the tank but im not sure if they ate. can u post some pics of the ones you caught?

It is some kind of darter without a doubt. As for what kind, the pics are kinda blurry so it is hard to tell. Could be a Johnny darter, Tesselated darter or Swamp darter.

Hey, that is a HUGE difference than in florida, but those fish look nearly identical to the ones I have. I can't post pics right now because my camera is getting fixed. For the record the water was in the upper 60's at the creek
