Hi all I'm going to be pulling my 90 gal tank out of storage and doing a planted tank. Yes I'm going to give it a leak test in the bath tub first. I have all ready been reading the forums here and have some good ideas, next will be trips to the LFS to see what kind of plants and supplies they have. If I have any questions you will be the first people I come to. Thanks in advance.

make sure to take pics an share ur progress, im thinking of same thing. what kinda substrate u going to use. do u plan on using co2. i prob wont. what u going to do about light. i was thinking about saving for a metal hylide light to grow some of the bright light plants.

Light will prob have to be upgraded, filter is a cannaster, don't recall the brand....starts with an E. Still doing research on the substrate. If will he a while before this all gets started, going to get a custom stand built and my upstairs is going to have some reins and painting done so I don't want the tank in the way for that. Co2 I will prob wait to see how the plants do first. In the until then I will start buying things here and there so I don't have a big expense when the time comes. And helpful tips tricks would be great.

i found some sweet plant aquarium books on amazon. cheap if u get them used, i know i got a few, great for ideas

You have your order WRONG. You never upgrade lights before Co2. If your lights turn out to be to much then you will HAVE to get co2. I would recommend getting the c02, see how the plants do THEN look into the lights...Lighting should ALWAYS be the last upgrade.

90gals ???? Thats deep, armpits are going to stay wet..lol
