So I've been wanting a reptile for years, but never found one that just really captured me and made me want to own it, until I discovered Cresties. I will be getting my first one later this week from our very own Vicious_fish. I'm excited, as it's a gorgeous baby!

Any advice/lessons learned on keeping cresties?

Question on my enclosure plans...I have a 10 gallon tipped on its side for now and a 30 gallon tall for when its older. Will be using just paper towels on the bottom for now, but I plan to do a fully natural enclosure for the 30 gallon when he/she is bigger.

Is 30 gallon tall TOO big? I eventually plan to have a pair. I also have a regular 20 gallon tank I could use, but I'm thinking the height of the 30 tall would be ideal. I have screen tops on all of them, a digital therm/hygro and some climbing vines.

If the 30 gallon tall will be too overwhelming for it, I will set that up as a fish tank lol

Thanks for any answers!

Well for starters you might want to keep the gecko in the smaller tank until it gets a little bigger. They sometimes have trouble finding food in a large tank. That will also give you some time to setup a nice habitat in the 30 gallon. These guys love vertical space so the 30 gallon will work great and you could easily keep a pair in that.

will the 10 gallon tipped on side be too big for the baby to start out? I can set it up normally and partition it off to make it smaller too.
