I have been waiting years to get my hands on some small dats and FINALLY.......11 1" babies are in their new home, my poor excuse for a planted tank. All are eating well and many have already stabilized their coloration after 3 days. So amazing to watch them stalk prey as they lay on their sides mimicking floating leaves, and then BANG, no more guppy. They are chowing down on blood worms and small guppy fry that I have raised. Also gobbled down some convict wigglers today. Can hardly containg myself. Of course, my camera has to be busted right now too. got to get it fixed quick to document their growth!

some updating. Good news and bad news. Bad news, 4 of the 11 didn't make it. They started dying off for unkown reason as they all looked great and were all eating. Then I realized the most dominant and largest one was killing them! Moved him and two of the larger ones out and no more deaths. then, he started whomping on another fellow-dat and I moved him to the 150 with the big aro and cichlids. Doing great there, like "Finally, a challenge!" What a bastard. Sorry, still no stupid camera. Will have to borrow the babysitters camera, it's way better than mine anyhow!

Did you ordered them online? BTW try to get them away from guppies and start them on pellets ASAP (healthier). Nice pick up on the new tiger pack.

Thanks! I'm loving these fish. Actually, I have not fed them live food aside from occaisional ghost shrimp. They were eating frozen bloodworms when I got them. Now they take krill extremely well and pellets when in the mood. The largest one eats everything!
