sore on bottom off stingray

Was wondering what may have caused the sore in the pick if it could be the gravel. The gravel is 2mm and the finest and roundest i could find in perth where i live any help would be great cheers.

Its probably the gravel... Sand or barebottom is always best

Have you any other decor like rocks or wood with sharp edges in the tank it could of rubbed against ?

I have 3 rocks in there they are not overly sharp tho.
